  We tried this on a beautiful Sunday just before noon. We ordered the special which was a BBQ pizza and an order of cheese bread. We say upstairs and while the atmosphere was dark it was rather nice. Our waiter was very nice and personable and provided us quick service. My problem came with the food and the manager. Our cheese bread was just that. Cheese on top of toast. No seasons no real taste. And the dipping sauce didn't come with it. We had to pay extra for that. I found this to be odd. When our pizza arrived I had high hopes. It looked good. Maybe a bit over cooked but still delicious. We were first tipped that this would he interesting when I tried to take a piece off and it looked cut on top but the pizza cutter hadn't been able to cut through the bottom of the crust. After taking about 4 minutes to cut a square piece up for my two year old I grabbed a piece for myself. I grabbed and end and ended up having to again cut it myself. On my first bit I saw the problem. The bottom of the crust was rock hard. How it wasn't black is beyond me. The top of the crust seemed to be raw dough. Not soggy from the sauce as the manager tried to tell us but raw yet. The flavors were just okay and we would have eaten it had it not been for the crust but wouldn't have ordered it again. We told our waiter who was very apologetic and offered to make a new one but we decided to just continue with our day. Total we ate maybe one full slice from the pizza. I was shocked to see the pizza on our final bill. When I went to pay our waiter said he told his manager about it and the manager had to "think about it." I am not sure what there was to think about. The food wasn't cooked properly and we told them right away. We didn't eat it all then complain. So when the manager got to us I explained what had happened and he gave the impression that he didn't care. I had even heard him talking poorly to his employees but that isn't my issue right now. He asked to see the pizza and I said sure we went back to the table and he took one at the crust and even said "what did they do to this?" He then proceeded to look at me and say "so half off okay?" I said we ate one piece and I didn't want to pay for it at all. He didn't say anything else and just proceeded to ring up my total with the pizza off and seemed annoyed the whole time. His shirt said "chef" but it didn't seem like he had any desire to apologize. Hopefully he wasn't the head chef. I will not try here again but that is just me.

  Mushroom soup on tuesday!!! NICE!

  The food is good for what it is, pizza and sandwiches in a family friendly atmosphere. I've taken my kids here twice for lunch in the past week. The servers we had were prompt and polite but both times we were here I observed the same, more senior, server snap at customers, once for standing nearby the entrance to the kitchen (which is right by the host stand) and once outside for asking which door to enter (there are three doors) to get a table. That ridiculousness far outweighed my dining experience resulting in two stars. Train your entire staff in customer service and manners or keep them in the kitchen please.
